Dawn grew up on a farm in Warwickshire and has always been fascinated by the natural world, sometimes disappearing for hours looking at the wildlife in the countryside which surrounded her. This comes through in her art very strongly. She is unusual in having trained as a sculptor and painter, and loves the challenge of using either discipline. She trained at Rugby School of Art and then at Northampton University. She naturally loves to paint wildlife, but also has a love of the flora which is so important in our ever shrinking world. She loves to use oils, pastels and recently acrylics. Her sculptures are often started using clay, and occasionally wire. Dawn has also exhibited widely in this Country and internationally.
