Deborah Hodgson

I primarily paint landscapes using oil pastels, oils or acrylics, depending on the subject matter although, over the years, I’ve painted most things from people’s houses to pets and children. It’s the effect of colour and light on the subject that attracts me more than anything else.

I exhibit locally with the Sutton Coldfield Society of Artists and the Birmingham Art Circle, as well as taking part in the Sutton Coldfield Art Trail which is a two-day event which this year took place on the 11th and 12th June.

I’ve had paintings exhibited at the Patchings Art Festival, the Artist of the Year Competition run by the SAA and the National Fine Art Open Competition.
