Diane Daley

Diane’s mosaic art is centred around nature, closely looking at ‘natures symmetry’ and noting that although things may look the same at first glance subtle differences are there in colour, form and texture.
Material choice is an important part of Diane’s mosaic artwork. While tesserae can be hard and unforgiving her challenge is to turn these flat constituents to convey softness and movement in her chosen subject. Loving the versatility of materials that can be used in mosaic Diane likes to experiment with different styles and techniques to keep her work current and fresh.
Diane works from a studio at the well renowned Banks Mill Studios in the heart of Derby and lives in Holbrook near Belper, Derbyshire.

NOTE
Diane, until recently, exclusively worked under the name China Petals but after the success of her mosaic craft kits has decided to split her practice and in future will create mosaic art work under her own name Diane Daley – Mosaic Artist.
