I enjoy going from an initial idea, to compose a picture with sketches, and then moving on to paint, print or create it using textiles. This year I have been developing my skills in using free style machine embroidery combined with painted textiles. I am still busy with my printing interests but I have taken a break from etching, and enjoyed making some wood block and lino prints. I find it very satisfying to see an idea come to fruition in a frame!. My inspiration comes from in my rural surroundings, particularly the Derbyshire countryside and the small village where I live, near Ashby de la Zouch.
