Rachel Parkinson

I love creating unique art and specialise in painting with acrylics. I am inspired by beautiful scenery, dramatic skies and the beauty of nature. Many of my quirky, contemporary paintings are created with vibrant swirls of colour and a depth of texture. I studied graphic design and illustration at the University of Derby and have worked as a graphic designer and event photographer. I am developing an artistic career in my home studio alongside working as a Marketing and Admissions Officer. I permanently display my paintings in a microbrewery in Stretton and create a range of artwork from large canvases to petite paintings that hang from cotton cord, small heart plaques and hand painted Christmas baubles.

I grew up in Derbyshire and now live just over the border into Staffordshire with my husband and daughter. I enjoy walking the dog, photography, sewing, listening to classical music and spending time with my wonderful family.
