Susan Kistner

I am a Textile Artist based on the Lincolnshire coast. I graduated from London Metropolitan University in 2016 with a degree in Textiles. I studied at the University of the Arts at Chelsea, completing my studies in 2019 with an MA in Textiles. I work with digital and handmade processes and use simple repetitive motives and images to explore specific themes. For example, being drawn to examine the act of seeing is a recurring theme in my work. My work crosses boundaries to question ideas about reality and the unconscious. My work is the versatile endless possibilities that can take the work in an unknown direction and the effects of the material and texture when translated and understood. I have exhibited in the past and am open to private and public commissions.
