I’ve painted for many years in all mediums but have fallen in love with soft pastels for their vibrancy, texture and forgiving nature. My love of animals inspires much of my work and I specialise in pet portraits with a growing portfolio of commissioned work. However I also enjoy portraiture and still life which has enabled me to experiment with different papers, textures and colours, aiming for a looser style.
During lockdown I’ve added something new to my portfolio by making art from real flowers and herbs, hand dried and pressed, then presented in a frame – something beautiful and unique as no two are the same.
Running an art group has also has given me the opportunity to inspire others and encourage them to explore their artistic boundaries, try new things and celebrate achievements.
