Victoria Brown

Victoria is an artist based in South Derbyshire, UK, primarily a painter working with oils sometimes applying lace or gold leaf to create an ethereal glow. Since following her passion for painting & the arts seventeen years ago she has created a large body of work. These paintings explore a variety of subjects which she finds interesting, beautiful and emotionally uplifting. Most often it is the natural world which informs her work; light, colour & pattern hold a fascination & she enjoys experimenting with different painting techniques. Her love for pattern and detail has it’s roots in the beautiful Nottingham lace her family once manufactured a subject she continues to work on following the success of her Legacy of Lace arts project 2021 supported by Arts Council England, Foundation Derbyshire & Erewash BC. Victoria has also delivered other arts projects & a multitude of art workshops to share the joy of art with everyone.
